The reason for him having a Venus level of 99 is that it affords him complete invulnerability to any Venus-elemental status move, as Elemental Levels are apparently taken into account when checking secondary effects. Other than that, Elemental Levels do nothing and the only things that are really important are Elemental Powers and Resists.
We're giving the glitchy end boss all kinds of glitch attacks that do things they really shouldn't, and you're complaining about Dummy Out? Huh...
I suppose we could make Big Bang a summon-type attack, but then I'd have to rethink the animation.

Dummy out completely removes any strategy that has to do with summoning from the list of viable options. Of course I'm complaining about it. There are more strategies out there that use summons than just summon rushing you know.
And luck is typically what's used to make bosses invulnerable to status, you know. The only venus elemental status you might inflict are already negated due to high luck (instant death, death curse, haunt, and poison/venom should all be impossible to inflict on him from the outset, and what does that leave?).

Hm. Good point about summoning, anyway.
Anyway what that leaves is Stun, possibly, thanks to Fear Puppet. Course, you could still possibly just stun him with Paralyse or a Djinni, so its not exactly eliminating any options. But just remember: sometimes, a million really is just a statistic.
Anyway, I'll continue this debate in the morning and work out all the fail in my enemy idea. Unless I'm busy writing fanfiction. But right now, I'm going to sleep.

I really love your suggestion for me Jamie! While I'm not sure about using all of it, it does give me some ideas for this other battle that I wanted to propose. I am still working on my stats and stuff, so I can probably get back to you guys later. Granted, this gives me some pretty good ideas! For example, Big Bang: I am not sure about the spell, but I could have a reusable item that explodes. Like an egg, for example! Actually, this means that I could probably post my character design as well... I have only been working on it every two days or so, meaning that it probably won't be ready until the end of the week. With all of this in mind, I am actually pretty excited about the idea of you guys helping me out with this! Thank you so very much.

One of my personal favourite boss ideas. Kind of a unique foe, and definitely a puzzle boss. Enemy group: Spooky Spectre x1, Haunting Aura x2 Name: Spooky Spectre Species: Amaze variant 5, giant size Level: 13 Turns: 1 Attribute: HP: 412 PP: 35 Attack: 88 Defense: 26 Agility: 31 Luck: 19 HP Regen: 0 PP Regen: 0 Item 1: N/A Item 2: N/A Item 3: N/A Item 4: N/A AI Setting: 1, attack pattern 1 Ability 1: Undead Sword Ability 2: Mystic Flame Ability 3: Rumble Ability 4: Quake Ability 5: Curse Ability 6: Taint Ability 7: Spire Ability 8: Attack Non-Standard: N/A Coins: 0 Item Drop: Healing Ring Item Drop Rarity: 1/1 EXP reward: 349 LVL: 5 POW: 115 RES: 25 LVL: 0 POW: 75 RES: 100 LVL: 3 POW: 105 RES: 125 LVL: 1 POW: 100 RES: 75 Location: Dunno Enemy Type: Optional Boss Music Type: Monster-type Boss Name: Haunting Aura Species: No sprite Level: 0 Turns: 1 Attribute: HP: 40 PP: 0 Attack: 0 Defense: 999 Agility: 0 Luck: 99 HP Regen: 0 PP Regen: 0 Item 1: N/A Item 2: N/A Item 3: N/A Item 4: N/A AI Setting: 0, only use first ability Ability 1: Spooky Veil Ability 2: N/A Ability 3: N/A Ability 4: N/A Ability 5: N/A Ability 6: N/A Ability 7: N/A Ability 8: N/A Non-Standard: N/A Coins: 0 Item Drop: Nothing Item Drop Rarity: N/A EXP reward: 0 LVL: 0 POW: 100 RES: 100 LVL: 0 POW: 100 RES: 100 LVL: 0 POW: 100 RES: 100 LVL: 0 POW: 100 RES: 100 Location: Fought alongside Spooky Spectre Enemy Type: Optional Boss Music Type: Monster-type Boss Spooky Veil: Vanish into thin air, targets group leader, always goes first.
I think the strategy here is obvious. In any case, the reason for the boss's weak stats and attacks is that it's supposed to be a relatively easy introduction to puzzle bosses.

The boss itself seems pretty nice, but I'm a bit cautious about the Haunting Aura enemies. I love the concept, but their health seems pretty low, and they don't have sprites. What if their HP were boosted to about 80-100, and were given a small aura-like glowing ball?
As for the Amaze sprite itself, that could work. I would either vote for that or a slightly modified sprite myself, but I don't see anything wrong with it.

I think the auras are supposed to simulate well... an aura around the main foe. That's why they don't have sprites. Still, with them being selectable separately, it kinda breaks the illusion.

And if it weren't for that, I would agree 100% with the lack of a sprite. If there were a way to connect all of the enemies in a way to fix the illusion, then it could work.

Ideally, the Haunting Auras would take up the exact same space as the Spooky Spectre, so you wouldn't even notice if you switched targets, or if you were targeting all of them with an area-of-effect ability.
The fight basically serves as a warning not to ignore the combat log. Similar "don't ignore the combat log" stunts would probably be pulled in later puzzle boss battles, as well.

I wonder if we could code a new group type that makes all of the enemies on the other team overlap each other? I have no idea if we could do it with the game's current system, but it would be like how some group types make the first enemy the leader of the group while also modifying their locations on the field.

Something I'd like to bring up here:
The end-of-Arc-I plot switch. More specifically, the battle against Charon at the entrance to the Glitch Zone, where it's revealed that she's not really the Big Bad.
Here's my idea: When Charon reaches 50% of her max HP or lower, she automatically uses the ability "Call Master". This summons the corporeal form of the corruption itself into the battle. In other words, the final boss. Its first action is automatically "Engulf". That is to say, it pops up a speech bubble where the corruption says, "You have outlived your usefulness!" or something similar. Then it basically just EATS Charon. Cue mid-battle dialogue from party and stuff before the corruption blows your whole party to smithereens in short order. It'll be essentially completely invincible, things like 16383 HP, 40965 PP, 1023 Attack and Agility (if possible, otherwise just 512), 512 (or if Attack and Agility are 512, 255) Defence, 63 Luck. You know, that kind of BS.

Umm, Glitch Zone is Act III, iirc. While the Charon fight in indeed Art I, Act II would be the pursuit of the virus. The reason you go to Venus and Jupiter clans is for assistance in finding it, iirc. Venus has Search, Jupiter has Prophesy, stuff like that.
Also... that's crazy different from what was discussed earlier...

Not really. Kinda looks like a dick move, to be honest. If we're gonna have an unwinnable fight, it'd need to be done better, like how S&M's first fight was.
